               Quang Ninh University of Industry has a 55-year history, starting from the Intermediate Mining Technical School. The school was established in the Hong Quang mine area, training human resources for the mining industry in the context of the newly revived mine area is an honor, a great responsibility that the Party and the State assigned to the school. During 55 years of construction and development through historical periods, generations of cadres, party members, employees, students have been constantly trained and matured; The school has achieved great successes, building valuable traditions.
                Those are the successes in upgrading the school from a secondary school to a college and becoming the first university in the mining area; training generations of cadres and technical workers, meeting the need to provide effective human resources for the coal - mineral industry of Vietnam and other economic - technical sectors. Many students of the school have "become famous, successful, talented" in many fields of work, honoring the history of the school.
                These are the “traditions of self-reliance and self-improvement to build schools, train staff, improve comprehensive and effective training quality; the tradition of hard work, overcoming difficulties, completing political tasks; the tradition of solidarity and unity in building the School; the tradition of combining teaching and learning with production labor - scientific experimentation and international cooperation”. These traditions are the result of the process of persistent cultivation, building, sacrifice and tireless efforts of generations of cadres, party members, employees and students of the School; the result of inheriting and promoting the fine traditions of the working class in the mining area because throughout the development stages, “the School has been closely associated with the life and breath of the Mining Area”.
                 The School's contributions to the cause of education and training, scientific research and production have been recognized by the Party, the State, the Central Ministries, Branches and Quang Ninh Province with many noble awards, the 55th anniversary of the School's establishment and receiving the First Class Independence Medal from the Party and the State. We are even more proud of the great successes and glorious traditions of the School; more confident on the path of development and integration; more devoted to the Fatherland; continuing the successes and glorious traditions in the history of the School.
